EA Gives new release date... « Result #3 on Feb 4, 2009, 6:20pm »
The rumblings from last month prove true as Electronic Arts stamps a release date of June 2nd of the eagerly anticipated PC title The Sims 3. The change in date is never actually referred to as a delay in the official press, instead being simply given a new release date, shinier and happier than the original. Just a bit later.
Quote:
“The June launch combined with the break-through game the team is building gives us the perfect runway to create awareness for The Sims 3,” said Russell Arons, Vice President of Marketing for EA. “The Sims 3 will be the original IP summer blockbuster of 2009 as we build off the success of the best-selling PC franchise of all time to create awareness with both loyal Sims fans and new players.”
See? Everything is just fine. They're just building a runway for the game. Fans are advised to wait until the very last moment to update the death clock they've downloaded for their The Sims 2 creations. It's just more entertaining that way.

It was suppose to be released Feb. 16 to the 20th but I have just read some info at the BBS and there was a simmer there stating that it might be delayed until the end of March which would be a real bummer.
Sorry I've been missing have had so much going on Christmas and all and I've even had the flue really bad and then just Sunday I fell and had to be taken to the hospital I fell on the ice and was holding my little too at the time and couldn't even brace myself any and landed directly on the back of my head at which it busted open and I had to get stitches but thank goodness I didn't have a fractured skull or a broken neck as they first thought because I hit so hard. Still have a very bad headache and very dizzy but will get to see the Doctor Monday again to remove the stitches and to make sure I'm OK since I'm still having such problems. Hope everyone else is OK, big Hugs Video Granny.

New Sims 3 Trailer Strange « Result #11 on Dec 11, 2008, 3:02pm »
This new European trailer for EA's The Sims 3 is perfectly fine until the young French maid starts making out with the wrinkled old man.
It all kicks off with what seems to be a skinny goth woman on an exercise machine who drives several miles away in order to break in to a house and steal candy from small children. During her adventure she encounters cooking, flatulence, and the aforementioned cross-generational make out session. The whole thing ends with the previously skinny goth girl as a grossly fat goth girl, having presumably gone on a mad candy-stealing spree.

Yep I have this game too, I just installed it a few days ago and have to wait for my computer to be redone but from what I've seen of it so far it's a lot like the Wii version which I have and finished so I'm hoping it's somewhat different.

Custom content in the sense that we create objects for the other sims in the workshop? In the game we have a workshop and we can create objects as long as we obtain the blueprint, either by being best friends with the sims or working on tasks for the special sims (pizza chef).
It was a little tough because certain objects need to be painted with X amount of essence so I had to use my imagination to turn a 3 piece counter into a 40 piece counter. I finished the game last night, but Im playin it again in a different way. The 1st time I invited every type of sim into my city, now Im gonna try to invite only cute and food sims.
Ive read the review for "animal crossing" Im not too sure about what the game is about? But according to my friend, she enjoyed it! I was attracted to MySims because of how adorable the sims were and was excited when a PC version was made. Hopefully a PC version of "animal crossing" will be released, or a PS3 version. Since I only have these 2 and no other types of consoles.

I bought the PC version 3 days ago and I'm very addicted to it! I'm not sure if its entirely same with the nintendo version because I do not have a nintendo
But by far I love it, the graphics are said to be an improved version over the nintendo version. The graphics to me looks good
Wow im excited for the no load screens. I seriously hate those.
I'll also have to get a new computer to play this game. I think it'll be quite laggy on laptop.
You and me both. Those long loading screens mocked those with mediocre computers :(
I think we'll all be needing better PCs to be able to make 3 run smoothly. My PC wheezes and gasps when it plays the Sims 2, I think it'll mutiny on me if I tried to play 3. I hope we find out the required specs needed to run the game soon.
It must have blown to be one of the first outsiders to convert to Christianity. Like, you're reading through the Bible for the first time, and then a bunch of Hebrews burst into your Church shouting "CAIN KILLS ABEL IN GENESIS FOUR VERSE EIGHT!"

Wow! 90% cheaper, your prices must be really high. I've seen some really nice scrap book kits on QVC and they have tons of nice stuff with them. I've been going to get a set but just never have. I'll have to get me a kit after Christmas because I've bought a few things for putting around pictures and it costs so much more that way.

The great thing about shopping for let's say scrapping supplies in america is that some things are as much as 90% cheaper than in sweden, so it's really worth it anyways even with the shipping fees and the customs fees if you would be so unlucky to get stuck. If you make a smaller order, like $30- 40 you can get off without having to pay them.

Oh now that stinks, that doesn't seem quite fair. That sounds really expensive and not worth it. I know I had looked at a few items from the UK but I figured it would cost too much to get it here.

Oh I know, and another thing you have to think about when ordering from abroad is the customs. Since asos is located in the uk, europe, there's no custom fee for me but if I order from usa you might get stuck in the customs and pay their fees as well.

Thats true
In American dollars or pounds, how much do you have to pay for shipping ?
I had a shopping basket full of items I wanted to buy for US$50, but shipping was also US$50, and I didn't really think it as worth it to pay the same amount of shipping as my order. It made me sad and it was mostly jewellery...
